We believe as a business owner you need access to financial information that has been reviewed by a professional more than annually.
Provided you want this too, we review our clients financial information every GST period. This review ensures:
- Most (if not all) coding is correct (whether this is done by yourself or us)
- Fixed assets are accounted for correctly (this can have a massive difference if you are purchasing or selling big ticket items)
- Loans are up to date and balancing
- If your year is looking better than last year, we can advise this and look to mitigate tax consequences
- Conversely, if you year is looking worse than last year, we can look at the tax consequences of this too.
Meet the team
Jeff Burson
DIRECTOR
Jeff has worked in the accounting industry since 2007. His experience includes working at a senior level for an international accounting brand, hands on experience in the local district health board as well as Director of a local charity.
He has assisted clients with everything from a single rental property to multi-million dollar businesses and charities. We would be surprised if we cannot help you!
Outside of work Jeff loves spending time with his young family. Whether this be at the beach, doing the Hatea Loop or enjoying our various walking trails. He also participates in most of the Sport Northland Run Walk Series to ensure he is fit enough to keep up with the kids!
Melissa Trow (Mel)
INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT
Mel joined the team in June 2022 having 8 years’ experience in another local Chartered Accountants office. Mel works with a range of our clients, ensuring their accounting and training needs are met in a timely manner.
Outside of work Mel enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family. She has 3 teenage and adult children and can often be found watching her sons rugby team play on the weekends.
Lara Jeffery
ADMINISTRATOR
Lara is the person who keeps Future Accounting running smoothly. This includes day-to-day administration tasks as well as some of the basic accounting needs of our clients. Lara joined us in July 2023 as an aspiring accountant, currently undertaking tertiary studies.
Outside of work Lara enjoys spending time with her young family exploring a beach or running after her children at the playground.
